Yoo hoo! Us again. We here at Reunion Central are delighted by your positive responses to the 60th, and are charging (um….that’s maybe overstating it—perhaps shuffling?) forward with our plans. And this is where you come in. It’s a fair way off, but venues for this sort of thing need to be tied up well in advance. In order to do that, we’ll need a little more input.
One of the ideas put forth was to do a meet-and-greet the evening before the main event; then perhaps a breakfast or brunch, some food and drink for gathering and stealth grazing during the afternoon; followed by a dinner (buffet? Again, undecided), and maybe a get together the following morning for breakfast. Depending on interest and cost, this could be a buffet included in the reunion cost, or Dutch treat for those who choose to participate. Or, we could make it two days and add an event or two. Any ideas about that?
These are merely brain toots offered by Reunion Central—they’re not set in stone, more like Silly Putty. It’s a starting point, and we welcome your input. We also need to establish a relatively accurate count of probable attendees, so we can decide what venue will fit our needs. We know that October of 2018 is more than a year away, and this will not be binding, but we’d appreciate a show of hands. We didn’t ask for “plus ones” last time (although some of you did provide that info), but we’ll need it this time.
Once again, we will don our protective gear and prepare for your responses. This is getting to be real, isn’t it? Woo hoo!
