Hey old Badgers and friends! Who’s up for taking another whack at it? Wait. Letme rephrase that. Our 60th is just around the corner, and we here at Reunion Central are ready to roll up our sleeves and try this again! Only on a smaller scale, since Reunion Central itself operates on a smaller (and wa-a-a-a-ay slower) scale these days. We comfort ourselves by repeatedly murmuring “the race is not always to the swift”. It’s a mantra.
But I digress.
We’re thinking about October of 2018, a smaller version of the 55th, maybe at the same venue as before, maybe not. See how well prepared we are? And how flexible? Sometimes we’re so flexible we can barely remain upright. So this note is mostly to see how many of you are interested; later we’ll likely be asking for input in the planning, and maybe some help in execution. So far it’s pretty much me, Sally Adams and Bev Brooks Goodwin, with support from the Lunch Bunch here, members of whom are constantly assuring us, “We’ve got your back!” between mouthfuls of Death by Double Chocolate Fudge Brownie Ice Cream Cake Delight. We are blessed with caring, giving friends…………..
We know some of our classmates aren’t into electronics, so we plan to do snail mail too. As for the rest of you, I eagerly await your responses, and stand ready to deal with a veritable barrage of emails. Please don’t disappoint me. I’ve already bought my pads and goalie mask.
C’mon! This’ll be fun! Bear in mind, we’re ancient and creaky, and probably don’t have a 65th in us, so this might be our last chance. So let’s rock and roll! Or maybe just roll……………..we do love our Death by Chocolate, etc. Waiting to hear from you!
